Prop firm rules: FAQ
What is the difference between 1-step and 2-step challenges?
A 1-step challenge has a single profit target and usually a shorter evaluation; a 2-step challenge splits the target across two phases, normally with a smaller overall drawdown per phase. The table shows the most common setup per firm.
What does max drawdown mean?
The maximum loss allowed from your starting balance (static) or from your highest balance (trailing) before the account is failed. Lower drawdown means you must trade more conservatively.
Are the rules the same across all challenges of a firm?
Often not. Some firms run several challenge models (1-step, 2-step, instant funding) with different targets, drawdowns and minimum days. The values shown are the most common configuration; open the firm page for the full breakdown.
How often is this rules comparison updated?
It is rebuilt with the site and verified manually on the most important fields. If a firm changed its terms and you spot a mismatch, tell us and we will correct it in the next build.
